The refreshingly tart Oude Gueuze Cuvée René is one of the most famous Lambics ever! This spontaneously fermented beer is a blend of 1/3 old (3 years) Lambic and 2/3 young (1 year) Lambic. These were fermented in large oak barrels. The beer is then bottled and aged for another six months. During this time, bottle fermentation takes place, which not only gives the Geuze its carbonation, but rounds out the flavor beautifully. The Oude Gueuze Cuvée René convinces with its balanced play of acidity, yeast notes, hints of barrel aging and a light fruit reminiscent of citrus and apple. A great companion to many dishes or as an ingredient itself, for example, for rudiments of sauces. This beer is perfect for cellaring for several years!ABV: 6.0%£5.80
Possibly the standout beer from our individual staff designed DDH Pale series of 2020; Murmurations makes a welcome return with a new and improved recipe, headed up by our second ever employee at the brewery, our very own Scott. Featuring a technique known as “hop bursting”; Scott’s objective is to purposely multi-layer the whirlpool hops to accentuate his dry hop bill of Mosaic, Simcoe, Azacca and Enigma. Gradually adding a small amount of Mosaic at 100 degrees, before dropping the whirlpool down to 87 degrees and adding his main whirlpool addition of Simcoe, the result is that each individual varietal is distinguishable throughout – creating, what we feel, is possibly our most crushable pale yet.ABV: 4.9%£4.95
RIDER, 4.5% Pale Ale, is our take on a classic hazy pale ale brewed in collaboration with one of the world’s most prolific producers of guitar amps, HIWATT.The brief for this beer was it must be ideal for sinking whilst in the pub or taking in some great bands whilst shouting at your mates. It pours a gorgeous hazy pale straw colour, with an oily and silky mouthfeel. The body is sweet and prominent all rounded out with the lightest of crisp bitter finishes. Mosaic, Citra and Citra Cryo, all come out to play to deliver an explosion of orange peel, mango, melon and pineThe can art is inspired by the sweeping sine waves truly unique to the Hiwatt tone crossed with the connection between soundwaves and mother nature's natural wavy elements; be it land or sea. So sit back, bang on those tunes, gaze into the can and remember those good times spent jamming and soaking up all the world has to offer!£4.30
Barnum Brown - American Brown Ale - Our take on the American Brown Ale has a soft biscuit base with a gentle roast character and some pine, citrus and berry from the all American hop bill. Named after the first Paleontologist to document evidence of T Rex bones amongst other fascinating discoveries. His wife wrote a memoir called "I Married A Dinosaur." ABV. 5.6% Ingredients: Water, Barley, Oats, Wheat, Hops and Yeast Allergens: Barley, (Gluten) Oats and Wheat (Gluten)ABV: 5.6%£5.40
Stille Nacht (Silent Night) is a prestige beer from De Dolle Brouwers brewed for Christmas. It has the highest density of any Belgian beer (27 degrees Pl). It has been boiling for many hours, brewed with pale malt with white candi sugar in the kettle. The Nugget hops gives an extra bitterness to balance the extreme sweetness due to the density. The taste triangle is completed with some acidity of the fermentation. It is a very interesting beer to age. We have samples of every bottling we have done so far and aging does not mean decreasing quality with this beer. Keep some samples at 10 degrees C and mark the year on the cap with an alcohol marker.ABV: 12.0%£6.50
We love stout here at Wander Beyond big and small. For our next creation we've produced something we've never actually done before: a session strength oatmeal stout. Brewed with all the flavour you'd expect from a Wander Beyond stout without the high ABV. Nine different malts including a variety of chocolates and roasted malts, rye and oats for body, Wolfsbane is full bodied and rich stout with light roasty coffee and lush bitter chocolate carried by a creamy mouthfeel.ABV: 4.8%£5.35
