The gnomes of Fairyland are particularly fond of this golden beer. LA CHOUFFE, with its slight hoppy taste, combining notes of fresh coriander and fruity tones, is the drink which gives them their zest for life. At least, that's what these imps say when they are thirsty. Their secret used to be jealously guarded from one generation to the next until the day they shared the recipe with humans to seal their friendship. Of all the legends from the wonderful region of the Belgian Ardennes, the tale of LA CHOUFFE is the one which most merits re-telling.ABV: 8.0%£4.10
ANEMONE New England IPA collaboration brewed at and with our friends from VILLAGES Brewery, Deptford. Heaps of oats for a soft body, dry-hopped with lots of Vic Secret and Azacca for pineapple and tropical notes. Low bitterness and a gentle carb make for a deliciously mellow IPA ANEMONE. Hard to say, soft to drink.ABV: 6.5%£6.00
Named Cinq Cents in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, this beer, with its typical golden colour, slightly hazy appearance and fine head, is especially characterized by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. It was first brewed by the monks of Chimay at Scourmont Abbey in 1966. Above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma.ABV: 8.0%£4.40
One of the small glimmers of light from the last twelve months is that we’ve been able to grow as a brewery, not only in size and staff, but in a technological sense too. Midnight Dipper is our first beer run through our brand new centrifuge, meaning we’ve been able to pull almost all the suspended yeast out, but retain all the haze and flavour in the beer that we’ve become so adept at producing. A beer that was ready to drink as soon as it came off the canning line, we’ve loaded the dry hop bill with a now-classic pyramid addition of 15kg of Centennial for old school bite, before 10kg and 5kg additions of Citra and Mosaic to boot for that juicy Polly’s trademark. A sign that our beers can and will get better than they already were from here onwards; here’s to the future. Cheers!ABV: 6.0%£5.70
Our most extravagant beer meets the most extravagant breakfast in this year’s Caribbean Chocolate Cake twist. We’ve adjusted the base here a little to allow the pancake element to come through. We’re layering maple notes from syrup to wood, maximising depth of flavour. A small amount of smoked malt, working in tandem with bourbon maple staves and the sweet, sticky undertone adds a delicate aroma akin to the impact you’d get from perfectly prepared streaky bacon. A generous helping of cacao and a dusting of spices, in part from the expressive Amburana wood, completes this liquid guilty pleasure.ABV: 7.4%Allergens: Dairy, Gluten£4.95
Okay, so we’ve explored our pyramid dry-hopping technique through all manner of our hazy new school beers, where do we go after there? Why not turn to the old school? Our head of sales is infamously fussy when it comes to West Coast beers; and after impressing him so much with our last effort, The Patina Effect, we were keen to strike again whilst the iron is hot, and Monstercat is the result. Featuring progressively smaller additions of Simcoe, Chinook, and finally Columbus in 20, 10, and 5kg additions respectively, this beer purposely accentuates each hop varietal, displaying the awesome resinous, piney, earthy notes that each bring to the table.ABV: 7.1%£5.70
It's Simcoe® in the limelight for our second 'Sold My Soul' showcase. This time we've teamed up with Yakima Chief Hops who have kindly brought some exclusive fresh crop to our four-type mix . The combination provides a beautiful spectrum of flavours and aromas of this incredible hop, ranging from tart passion fruit through to juicy ripe mango, clean grapefruit and signature piney bitterness.ABV: 7.2%Allergens: Gluten£5.35
After 3 months and 37 experiments, this Stout has what we consider to be the perfect ratio of Peanut Butter, Lactose, and Biscuit. A massive hit of roasted peanuts and biscuit on the nose, followed by a silky-smooth mouthfeel, and a sweet CRUNCH as it goes down.ABV: 5.4%Allergens: Gluten, Dairy (lactose), Nuts (Peanut)£4.20
We all need to treat ourselves a bit this year, so here's the perfect excuse. Taking the classic Kir Royale cocktail as inspiration, we've devised a clean, dry IPA base recipe before embellishing with floral and red berry flavours from a generous hop contingent. The beer is completed with beautiful blackcurrant purée and an exuberant effervescence.ABV: 6.1%Allergens: Gluten£4.75
