This traditional British Barley Wine is designed to taste like winter: it has a boozy warmth, candied fruit and dried fruit notes from the malt, and lots of clementine zest and heady spice from the shovels of EKG hops we added to the boil. This beer was brewed in collaboration with beer writer Jonny Garrett to celebrate his latest book, A Year in Beer, all about the joy of seasonal brewing and drinking.ABV: 8.6%Allergens: Gluten£5.20
A beer that has a dominant malty taste. This beer’s origins in a monk’s recipe are reflected in its heartiness. The Pope of Beers, Conrad Seidl, describes it as: “Almost black with a very slight red tone, a sensational, festive foam and truly extraordinary fragrance that at first summons up visions of greaves lard. The first taste is of mild fullness with an accompanying coffee tone, which becomes more dominant with the aftertaste. There is very little of the sweetness that is frequently to be tasted with doppelbock beer.” The Ayinger Celebrator has been ranked among the best beers of the world by the Chicago Testing Institute several times and has won numerous medals.ABV: 6.7%£3.30

This Flemish red from Verhaeghe is truly unique. The amber beer is brewed in the normal fashion and then put into oak barrels for many years to take on that oak character and turn slowly sour. It has a wonderful oak and cherry aroma, with a hint of balsamic vinegar. It starts beautifully sweet and melts away into a soft, sour cherry-like beer known as a Flemish Red.ABV: 6.2%£3.00

Taste: A rich body comes through at first. Initially the espresso-like acidity is balanced by a sweet taste of caramelised toffee. As your glass warms up you should expect to taste redcurrant, mixed with a dark chocolate, washed down with a slight alcoholic warmth. Appearance: Pitch black - as dark as the night sky, with an opaque brown head. Nose: A clean burnt sugar dominates, immediately giving way to rich dark fruits - plums, raisin, and fresh cranberries. Eventually, a roasted smokiness emerges, like a distant bonfire on the horizon.ABV: 10.5%£4.89
This authentic Belgian beer, whose tinge of fresh yeast is associated with a light rosy flowery touch, is particularly pleasant. Its aroma, perceived as one enjoys it, only accents the delightful sensations revealed by the odour, all revealing a light but agreeable caramelised note.ABV: 9.0%£4.85
