Citrus with a light malt sweetness. Perfect gateway beer for those moving away from bland lagers for the first time but enough about it to satisfy the connoisseurs. Unfiltered and naturally hazy. FOR THE THIRD BEER IN OUR SERIES WITH LAURA SLATER, CONTINUING THE SINGLE HOP THEME, WE SELECTED TO WORK WITH MOSAIC. THIS HOP IS STILL RELATIVELY NEW TO THE HOP REPERTOIRE, BUT AT THE SPEED THINGS MOVE IN BREWING, IT ALREADY FEELS LIKE ONE OF THE OLD GUARDS.A real all-rounder of a hop, and one which tends to show more variation season-to-season than most. This hop can lead to a real love-hate relationship for the brewer! On a bad day it can smell like pickled onion crisps, but when it’s on form (as its name suggests) it delivers an array of depth and flavour which make it a prime choice for the single hop treatment. We hand-selected this year’s Mosaic with Yakima Chief back in September, where we focused on finding plenty of resinous tropical fruit character whilst keeping a balanced level of dank pine underneath, and we’re happy with how this is translating through to the beer. Backed up with plenty of flaked oats and fermented with a fruity English strain, the result is a soft, rounded IPA with distinct ripe mango, bubblegum and stone fruit flavours.ABV: 6.5%£7.00
A tart and refreshing wheat beer brewed with oats, lemon peel and coriander. The flavour and aroma are dominated by fresh citrus notes. Beautifully balanced acidity melds with a hint of lemony hops for a crisp, ultra refreshing finish.ABV: 3.5%£2.75
Alcohol-free IPA. This IPA radiates citrus fruit from the moment you pour it to the second you finish that last sip with a satisfied sigh. The bright, sharp twist of bitterness on the end makes you want to dive back in for one more.ABV: 0.5%£2.25
Newbarns Brewery was established in 2019 in Leith, Scotland by partners Gordon McKenzie and Emma McIntosh, formerly of London's Kernel Brewery, along with friends Jonny Hamilton and Freddie Bjerkseth, formerly of Beavertown Brewery.Newbarns core-range Oat Lager, "Adjunct Lager", or "Rustic Pils". This beer is a take on some of their favourite beers and is brewed with extra pale malt, and a healthy proportion of oats, wheat, flaked barley, and other adjuncts they feel fit the rustic nature of this beer. Fermented with a German lager strain and hopped with UK Goldings and UK Challenger hops from Brook House Hops in Herefordshire for a pronounced hop character.ABV: 4.8%£4.60
This thirst-quenching beer was brewed specifically to support the volunteer-run Loppen in Christiania, as a response to the Danish government cancelling Loppen's funding, effective end of 2020. This venue is very dear to us and very important to the city. We aren't alone in wanting everyone to be able spend many more nights in front of the stage, listening to the wide spectrum of live music that they provide. We will be donating at least 25% of all profits from this Pale Ale to Loppen's 2021 fund. Flea For All is light, refreshing and ultra-crushable; perfect for the summer months. Dry-hopped with the New Zealand hops Waimea, Kohatu and Wakatu. Support Loppen!ABV: 5.0%£6.50
A spontaneous fermentation beer obtained from the blending of 1, 2 and 3 years old lambics. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, it is re-fermented in the bottle for a minimum period of 6 months. The lambics used were fermented and matured in our own oak barrels at the blendery. They are made from worts brewed by Boon, Lindemans, Girardin and Cantillon. The taste is tart and dry but has a certain roundness that makes this Gueuze à l’ancienne particularly accessible for non-experts. It will also delight fans of the genre for its sweet complexity. It also has a slight dry bitterness because of the youth of the oak barrels used, as they still release some tannins. It has a fresh lemony nose.ABV: 6.4%£8.20
Wild Disco is rooted in an impulse and something unexpected. A sparkling medium-dry cider made from 100% wild-fermented Kentish Discovery Apple Juice. With floral, red apple and rose aromas. Fresh and zingy on the palate with a clean finish.ABV: 5.5%Medium Dry£3.25
